Biography
Zola Pliest lived in New York and Connecticut. She Studied at The Silvermine College Of Art. Travel took her to the Victor Vasarely Museum where her interest in color and geometric configurations were fortified. She was also influenced by Synchromism. Ideas about light and color seemed to occupy her search. A basic configuration she returns to is the rectangle of one color reseding in size and presenting another color. So on smaller rectangles produce more colors until their size tests our ability to distinguish shape.
