Biography
Nikita Doubrava grew up in Europe just after W.W. II. Her childhood memories of the effects of military conflict left an indelible impression. Her family moved often and she had numerous experiences adjusting to cultural differences. Drawing was a way to get out feelings frustrated by a world she seemed estranged to. She studied print making with Hyrum Kopelman. While living in the United Kingdom she developed the "Civilization" series. She would have liked to have put it behind her, but feels that the Nations of the world are backsliding. She is impressed with thinkers who maintain that war as an acceptable business model is the end of "Civilization".
